Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley, La. for Charles E. Williams, 67, of Rayne who passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. at the Acadia General Hospital in Crowley.
Pastor Orville Rogers, pastor of Pilgrim Rest Church in Richard will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the St. Edward Catholic Church Cemetery in Richard.
A native of Amite, La. and a longtime resident of Rayne, La. Mr. Williams served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Knight Manufactory. He was a loving husband, dad and grandfather.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited Thursday at 7:00 in the evening in the funeral home chapel. Visitation will resume on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. until time of services in the funeral home chapel.
Survivors include his wife, of forty six years, Peggy Ann Williams of Rayne; one daughter, Janice and husband, Tim Griffin of Edmond, OK; one son, Charles S. and wife, Tammy Williams of RAF Mildenhall, UK.; three grandchildren, Ryan Benoit, Jared Williams and Destiny Williams; one brother, Michael and Patricia Fiegler of Breaux Bridge; his In Laws, Victor and Joyce Credeur of Rayne.
Mr. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Louise F. Williams.
