Waddy Joseph Forestier
Rayne- Funeral Services will be held for Waddy J. Forestier, 85, at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Duhon Funeral Home Chapel- Rayne with Deacon Tommy Adams officiating. The family has requested that visitation begin at 9:00AM on Thursday, April 14, 2016 until 10:00PM with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00PM and will resume on Friday at 8:00AM until just prior to the service time. Interment will follow the service and will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Carencro, LA. Mr. Forestier passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at his home in Scott, LA.
He is survived by his children, Tammy LeBlanc and her husband, Rod of Scott, LA, Gerald Forestier and his wife, Irene of Duson, LA, Leroy Forestier and his wife, Mona, of Cade, LA, David Forestier, Sr. of Cade, LA, Susan F. Lemaire and her husband, Greg, Sr. of Sunset, LA, Sandra Forestier of Lafayette, LA; step-daughters, Linda Abshire, Olivia Ray, Sandra Hulin and husband, Ricky, Morona Vidrine and husband, Bob Titus all of New Iberia, LA; seventeen grandchildren, as well as, Jaron LeBlanc and numerous great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Ronnie Gautreaux, John Ray, Shane Ray, Leroy Forestier, Gerald Forestier and Jimmy Robin. Honorary pallearers will be Jaron LeBlanc and Greg Lemaire.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elus Forestier and Cida Richard Forestier; wife, Ella Mae Forestier; son, Stafford Forestier and sister, Amethilde Savoie.
