Obituary for
Claude "Chester" Alleman
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Duson for Chester Alleman, 82, who passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 7:45 P.M. in Duson.
Fr. Allen Breaux, Associate Pastor of St. Theresa Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the St. Theresa Catholic Church Cemetery in Duson.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include his companion, Audrey Stelly of Duson; two daughters, Donna and husband, Jasper Labbe of Duson, Cynthia and husband, Craig Stevens of N. Fort Myers, FL., ; two sons, Gerald and Perry Alleman both of Duson; three sisters, Laura Jane and husband, Sam Alleman of Duson, Delta Alleman of Duson and Dorothy and husband, Lennis Baudoin, Jr. of Duson; one brother, Dalton and wife, Bernadette Alleman of Duson; also survived by Mrs. Audrey’s child, Michelle and husband, Chad Broussard and one grand-daughter; eight grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren and one great-great Grand daughter.
Pallbearers for the service will be Perry Alleman, Craig Stevens, Lennis Baudoin, Jr., Leo Labbe, Logan Credeur, Damon Garrie and Harry Dogie. Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Alleman, Sheldon Briggs and Nicholas Briggs
Mr. Chester was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Alleman; one son, Timmy Alleman; his parents, Marshall Alleman and Beulah Bourque; three brothers, Norman, Raymond and Lawrence Alleman; his step father, Martial “Bee” Bourque.
