Linda Istre (Duhon)
Rayne- A Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated for Linda D. Istre, 67, at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 28, 2016 at the Duhon Funeral Home-Rayne Chapel with Deacon Tommy Adams as Celebrant. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00PM with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM and will resume on Monday at 8:00 AM until just prior to the time of service. Interment will follow the chapel service and will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery # 2 in Rayne, LA. Mrs. Istre passed away on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Golden Age of Welsh Nursing Home.
Mrs. Istre is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 51 years, Ervis J. Istre, Sr. of Rayne, LA; sons, Barry W. Istre and Sheila of Rayne, LA, Ervis J. Istre, Jr. and his wife, Chelsea of Rayne, LA; grandchildren, Barrett Istre, Jason Richard, Zoe Richard as well as a sister,Lisa Richard and her husband, Paul Richard of Mermentau Cove, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Watson J. Duhon and Addie Menard Duhon; son, Brook Anthony Istre; brothers, Richard Duhon, Wallace Duhon; sisters, Barbara Club, Frances Cooper; nephews, Kyle Richard and Craig Duhon.
Pallbearers will be Barry Istre, Ervis J. Istre, Jr., Gregory LaFosse, Paul Richard, Koby Richard and Malcolm Dupuis. Honorary pallbearers will be Barrett Istre, Jason Richard and Zoe Richard.
