A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point for Leola “Cot” Charlot, 81 who passed away on Sunday, January. 29, 2017 at 12:48 A.M. at Acadia St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point.
Fr. Emmanuel Awe, SSJ, Pastor of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services.
The family has requested visitation to be held in the Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. until time of service.
Survivors include one daughter, Charlene Locksey and Raymond LaFleur of Lafayette; one brother, Darrell and wife, Betty Charlot of Scott; three sisters, Theresa Bellard of Church Point, Nelda Joseph of Lafayette, and Melanie Citizen of Branch; two brothers, Walter Rogers of Church Point and Joseph Rogers of Church Point; three grandchildren, Brandon Charlot and Kesha Dean of Opelousas, Mashanon and husband, Michael Boutte of Houston, TX and Gregory Woods and Amy Babineaux of Mire; seven great-grandchildren.
Ms. Leola was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Charlot; one son-in-law, Hillary Locksey; three sisters, Genora Meche, Geneva Duplechain and Ramona Charlot; one brother, Joseph Rogers.
