Rena Lona Trahan (Trahan)
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for Rena T. Trahan, 92, who passed away at the Carpenter House St. Joseph Hospice in Lafayette on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 9:00 P.M.
Pastor Berl Adams, Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in Broussard Cemetery in Lafayette.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday at 7 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. Visitation will resume Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include two daughters, Gloria T. and husband, Dalton Bourque of Duson and Mary Alice and husband, Allen Guilbeau of Carencro; two sons, Robert and wife, Bonnie Trahan of Duson and John Wilbert and wife, Francez Trahan of Crowley; one sister, Eleanor Trahan of Scott; fifteen grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren and forty four great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers for the services will be Nicholas Bourque, Donald Trahan, Terry Trahan, Scotty Guilbeau, Ryan Lefebvre and Daniel Hayes.
Ms. Trahan was preceded in death by her husband, Saville Trahan; her parents, Mitchel and Alice S. Trahan; four sisters, Hazel Credeur, Edley Mire, Mary Laura Trahan, Donatile LeBlanc; four brothers, Adam Trahan, Charles Trahan, Willie Trahan and Elisus Trahan.
