Rayne- A Liturgy of the Word Service will be held for Barbara A. Campbell,63,at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 17, 2017 in the Duhon Funeral Home- Rayne Chapel with Deacon Tommy Adams officiating. Visitation will begin on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM and will continue until 10:00PM; resuming on Friday at 8:00 AM until just prior to the time of service. Interment will follow the chapel service and will be in Abshire Cemetery in rural Kaplan, LA. Mrs. Campbell passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at her residence in Duson, LA.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by her husband, Steve Bourque of Duson, LA; daughter, Barbara Dupuis and her husband, Troy of Youngsville, LA; step-daughter, Priscilla Bourque of Duson, LA; grandchildren, Krystalyn Robinson of Duson, LA, Tory Dupuis of Youngsville, LA; great grandchildren, Bentley Robinson and Emmanuel Robinson both of Duson, LA and one sister, Betty Richard and her husband, Russell of Crowley, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Campbell; mother, Willie Mae Doucet ; granddaughter, Emmalyn Robinson; grandparents, Belzire and Valerine Doucet and one brother, A. J. Royer.
Pallbearers will be Steve Bourque, Troy Dupuis, Quinton Robinson, Tory Dupuis, Steven Thibodeaux and Dave Campbell. Honorary Pallbearer will be Bentley Robinson.
Barbara’s family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the Doctors and Staff of Hospice of Acadiana for the care given to Mrs. Barbara A. Campbell during this difficult time and very special thanks to Linda Campbell and Steve Bourque.
