Crowley- Funeral Services will be held for Phillip J. Royer, 56, at 3:00 PM on Monday, March 20, 2017 in the Duhon Funeral Home-Crowley Chapel with Deacon Keith Prejean with the Church of the Holy Spirit of Crowley officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM on Sunday, March 19, 2017 with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM, until 9:00 PM resuming on Monday at 8:00 AM until just prior to the service time. Interment will follow the chapel service and will be in Acadia Resthaven Cemetery in Crowley, LA. Mr. Royer passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017.
Mr. Royer is survived by his mother, Bernadine P. Savoy of Crowley, LA; two uncles, Gabriel Prejean and his wife, Janise of Vinton, LA, Jules Prejean of Crowley, LA; one aunt, Lula Mae Doolittle of Elkhart, TX; cousins, Keith Prejean and his wife Stacy of Lyons Point, Johnny Prejean of Orange, TX, Brice Prejean of Orange, TX, Donald Prejean and his wife, Cathy of Channelview, TX, Stacie Longron and her husband, Artie of Deweyville, TX, Leroy Prejean and his wife, Rosalie of Ramona, CA and Michelle Ogletree of Summerville, New Jersey.
He was preceded in death by his father, Adolph Royer; grandmother, Elmire Richard Prejean; uncles, Ernest Prejean, Enis Prejean and his wife, Carrie, Hilton Prejean and his wife, Lena, Alfred Prejean and his wife, Mildred, Julius Prejean and his wife, Mazie; aunt, Velma Prejean; cousins, Jimmy Lynn Prejean, Debra Ann Prejean, James Prejean , Austin Prejean, John Prejean, Jerry Prejean and Geneieve P. Percle.
Pallbearers will be Keith Prejean, Jr., Kevin Prejean, Kyle Prejean, Johnny Prejean, Donald Prejean and Chip Chapman. Honorary pallbearers will be Clay Mouton and Stacy Prejean.
Mr. Royer’s family would like to express sincere thanks to the nursing home staff of Kaplan Health Care and the doctors and entire staff of Hospice Compasses for their care given to Mr. Royer during his battle with cancer.
