Obituary for
Juanita Hodge (Hinze)
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Juanita H. Hodge, 83, who passed away Friday, march 24, 2017 at 3:03 A.M. at her home in Crowley.
Pastor David Greene, Pastor of the First Lutheran Church of Crowley will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. Visitation will resume on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include one daughter, Pam Hodge and Mike Royer of Crowley; three sons, Charles and wife, Laurie Hodge of Crowley, David and wife, Melinda Hodge of Crowley and James Jimbo and wife, Rhonda Hodge of Egan; one sister, Peggy and husband, Wayne Correll of Houston, TX.; three brothers, Doc and wife, Alice Hinze of Texas, Wilbert Hinze of Texas, Charles “ Shorty” and wife, Ruth Hinze of Broussard; eighteen grandchildren; twenty nine great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Ms. Hodge was a very active member of the First Lutheran Church of Crowley for many years, as long as her health allowed. She enjoyed her family, cooking, outdoors, and giving good advice to all in need.
Ms. Hodge was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew J. “A.J.” Hodge; one son, Andy Hodge; two grandchildren, Jason Hodge and Derek Peters; her parents, Herbert and Lydia P. Hinze; and one brother, David Hinze.
