Obituary for Brent Thibodeaux

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at The Assumption Catholic Church in Mire for Brent “Thib” Thibodeaux, 41, who passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in St. Martin Parish at 5:40 P.M.
Fr. Mike Arnaud, Pastor of Assumption Catholic Church in Mire will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church Cemetery in Scott.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. Visitation will resume on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Brent served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a fiber splicer/lineman for System Services Broadband, Inc. for 17 years. In 2015 he opened his own company, Bluerunner, L.L.C., as a contractor for System Services Broadband, Inc.
Survivors include his wife, Nikki B. Thibodeaux of Mire; one daughter, Emma Thibodeaux of Mire; his parents, Joseph and Jeanette M. Thibodeaux of Mire; two sisters, Melanie and husband, Shawn Pepper of Mire, Tina Thibodeaux and Korey Darbonne of Chataignier; his mother and father-in- law, Gloria Bourque and Chester Albarado both of Duson; one brother-in-law, James Bourque of Eunice; one sister-in-law, Tammy B. and husband, Tommy Daigle of Rayne; two Godchildren, Kyle Thibodeaux of Mire and Mary Pepper of Mire; several nieces and nephews.
Brent was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Edgar and Julia Thibodeaux; his maternal grandparents, Erick and Winnie B. Mire; several uncles and aunts.
Pallbearers for the service will be Jeremy Credeur, Kyle Thibodeaux, John Gary, Chad Dugas, Brennan Pepper and J’me Decker.
