Obituary for
Virginia Breaux
Services will be held at a later date for Virginia M. Breaux, 66, who passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at 10:52 A.M. at her daughter’s home in Lafayette.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne.
Survivors include two daughters, Terrirae Broussard of Lafayette; Authea and husband, Dwayne Arsement of Mire; three sisters, Vernola and husband, Ronald Castille of Mire, Elaine Courville of Mire, and Genevieve and husband, Eugene Matthews of Campti; two brothers, Melvin Melancon of Mire and Phillip Melancon, Jr. of Mire; one half brother, Howard and Jeanette McBride of Church Point; three grandchildren, Blaydn, Anaje and Avri Arsement all of Mire.
Ms. Breaux was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Lillian P. Melancon, Sr.
Ms. Virginia was a school bus driver for Acadia Parish for nineteen years. She loved being outdoors; gardening and she really had a lot of love for her three grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made to Duhon Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
