Obituary for
Penny Anne Mouton
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point for Penny Anne Mouton, 63, who passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017 at 11:30 P.M. at the St. Joseph Carpenter House of Lafayette.
Deacon Douglas Wimberly from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the Assumption Catholic Church Cemetery in Mire, LA.
Penny lost her 17 year battle to heart disease. She was born to Clifton and Regina Domingue Mouton in Lafayette, La. A Carencro High School graduate, Penny grew up to be a kind and loving lady. She could light up a room with her sweet smile and could crack up some laughter at the spur of the moment. Penny enjoyed dancing and traveling. She then met the love of her life Albert Guilbeaux, Sr. where they spent twelve beautiful years together.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited on Friday at 7:30 in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. until time of services.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Cindy Bearb Fontenot and Wayne Fontenot of Mire; her step mother, Bernita Bearb of Mire; her godmother, Isabelle LeBlanc of Lafayette.
Penny was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Mouton and Regina Domingue Mouton Venable; her step father, R.B. Venable; her Godfather, Alton “Ben” Domingue and her companion, Albert Guilbeaux, Sr.
