Obituary for Mitchell F. Faulk

Crowley- It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mr. Mitchell F. Faulk, 94, wishes to announce his passing on December 29, 2017 at the Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jennings, LA. Interment will be at a later date with immediate family attending the graveside Memorial Service.
Mr. Faulk was a native and long time resident of Crowley, LA. After graduating St. Michael High School he worked in the shipyards in Orange, TX and then entered the U.S. Army Air Corps where he served honorably in the Eighth Air Force with the 94th Bomber Group in the European Theatre of Operations during World War II. Following the war years, he was the Agent for Canal Refining Company ; was a avid reader and collector of WW II books and spent a great deal of his spare time at the library here in Crowley, LA. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his sons, James A Faulk and his wife, Gwen of Lafayette, LA and Paul A. Faulk and his wife, Patty of Crowley, LA; grandchildren, Erin F. Hidalgo, Samuel J. Faulk, Peter J. Faulk and Stanton T. Faulk all of Lafayette, LA; great-grandchildren, Laila and Olivia Hidalgo.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Haroldine “Ducy” Broussard Faulk; parents, Irving and Anita Faulk and four brothers, Lawrence Harry Faulk, Joseph Leeward Faulk, Edward “Doug” Faulk and Lloyd Ray Faulk.
