Church Point- Funeral services will be held for Elisee “June” Menard, Jr.,69, at 2:00 PM on Tuesday January 2, 2018 in the Duhon Funeral Home-Church Point Chapel with Rev. Donnie Venable officiating. Visitation will begin in the funeral home chapel on Monday, January 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM and will resume on Tuesday at 8:00 AM until just prior to the service time. Interment will follow the chapel service and will be in Arceneaux Cemetery in Rayne, LA. Mr. Menard passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, LA.
Mr. Menard is survived by his wife, Linda Menard; daughters, Brandy Menard and Candy Menard; step-son, Danny Carrier; grandchildren, Amber Jouclard, Michelle Guillen, Kaleb Daigle, Kelsey Comeaux, Laurel Carrier, Zoe Carriere, Hannah Morgan, Hunter Menard, Brea Carrier and Anthony Culbertson; great grandchildren, Blakelynn Doucet, Gabriela Guillen, Antonio Guillen and Emalia Guillen; siblings, Adele Menard, Ervin Menard and Ronald Menard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leaz and Alma Menard; brother, Rodney Menard; sister, Betty Venable; brother-in-law, Alberta Venable; step-son, Larry Carriere; step-daughter, Lisa Olivier and one grandson, Jeremiah Morgan.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Menard, Ricky Boudreaux, Eric Griffin, Zoe Carriere, Alberto Guillen, , Davis Menard, Danny Carrier and Donald Venable. Honorary pallbearers will be Hannah Morgan, Hunter Menard, Harry Lee Bernard and Ervin Menard.
