Church Point- A Liturgy of the Word service will be celebrated for Nolan James Bellard, 65, in the Duhon Funeral Home-Church Point Chapel at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 with Msgr. Jeff DeBlanc as Celebrant. Visitation will begin in the funeral home chapel at 9:00 AM on Tuesday morning until just prior to the service time. Interment will follow the chapel service and will be in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery “New” in Church Point, LA. Mr. Bellard passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018 at his residence in Church Point, LA.
Mr. Bellard is survived by his life companion, Juanita Millet of Church Point, LA; mother, Joyce Richard of Church Point, LA; sisters, Barbara Boone and her husband, Charles of Richard, LA, Cheryl Broussard and her husband, Andre of Carencro, LA; step daughter, Cindy Deville and her husband, Joel of Lafayette, LA; step grandchildren, Tyler Trahan, Kylie Trahan and Julia Trahan all of Lafayette, LA.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph V. Bellard and one sister, Linda Blanchard.
Pallbearers will be Mitchell Romero, Bud Bourque, Tawaski Chassion, Luke LaCroix, Jason Bonin and Andre Broussard. Honorary pallbearer will be Joel Deville.
In lieu of flowers Mr. Bellard’s family is requesting that donations be made to the family in Mr. Bellard’s memory to help defray the funeral expenses.
