Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for Robert “R.J.” Allemand, 68, who passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 12:36 A.M. at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles.
Deacon Denis LaCroix from St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church Cemetery in Scott.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. Visitation will resume on Saturday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include his wife, Diane V. Allemand of Rayne; one son, Charles and wife, Roxanne Allemand of Carencro; three daughters, Connie Allemand of Duson, Dayna and husband, Kelly Hollier of Duson; Danielle Forestier of Duson; seven grandchildren, Daniel Allemand, Jacob Montgomery, Payge Forestier, Blaze Forestier, Raquel Gautreaux, Keegan Hollier and Alyssa Soileau; one sister, Jeanette Guidry of Duson.
Mr. Allemand was preceded in death by his parents, Theomile and Sophie Thibodeaux Alleman; three sisters, Anna Lou Hoffpauir, Anna Mae LeBlanc and Joyce Guidry; one brother, Dolphy Alleman.
Mr. R.J. enjoyed spending time with family, caring for his many farm animals, spending time on his tractor.
