Rayne- A Liturgy of the Word Service will be celebrated for Margery Trahan ,76, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 31, 2018 in the Duhon Funeral Home-Rayne Chapel with Deacon Tommy Adams officiating. Visitation will begin in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel -Rayne on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM; with the Recitation of a Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM and will resume on Thursday at 8:00 AM until just prior to the time of service. Interment will follow the chapel service and will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery “New” in Rayne, LA. Mrs. Trahan passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at her home in Rayne, LA.
Margery is survived by her husband, Kenneth Michaud of Rayne, LA; son, Dale Trahan of Breaux Bridge, LA; daughter, Angel Savoie and her husband, Chad of Cankton, LA; grandchildren, Jayda Savoie, Emma Trahan, and Gage Savoie; sister, Mildred Steiner and her husband, Paul of Scott, LA; brother, Elmo Foreman and his wife Peggy of Branch, LA; step-brothers, John Blanchard of Duson, LA, Gerald Blanchard and his wife, Cynthia of Scott, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice Foreman, Sr. and Gladys Roger Foreman; sisters, Marie Blanchard and Juanita Blanchard; one brother, Maurice Foreman, Jr. and one step-sister, Claire Blanchard.
Pallbearers will be Chad Savoie, Gage Savoie, Elmo Foreman, Paul Steiner, John Blanchard and Shane Blanchard.
Margery’s family would like to express” sincere and special thanks” to Penny Richard for all of her “special care and assistance” during this trying and difficult time.
