A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Crowley for Shawn DuBose Burleigh, 44, who passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 11:18 P.M. at Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette.
Fr. Brent Smith, Associate Pastor of St. Michaels Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. until time of services. A Rosary will be recited on Monday at 11:30 A.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley.
Survivors include her husband, Jarrod Burleigh of Crowley; three daughters, Sloane and husband Josh Hardy of Crowley, Bethany Burleigh of Moss Bluff and Nikki Burleigh of Moss Bluff; two sons, Myles Gates of Houston, TX and Jack DuBose of Crowley; her father, Jim DuBose of Crowley; one sister, Gina and husband Butch Miller of Crowley; her paternal grandmother, Mildred and husband, Ronald Picard of Crowley; three grandchildren, Kinsley Elizabeth, Alivia Rose and Veida Jaymes all of Crowley.
Pallbearers for the services will be Hank Capel, Patrolman Aaron Bertrand, Larry DuBose, Dr. Dale LeLeux, Hunter Merry and Scott Merry.
Mrs. Burleigh was preceded in death by her mother, Pamela T. DuBose; her maternal grandparents, Clara Haure and Evans Thibodeaux.
