Richard- A Liturgy of the Word Service will be held for Fred Allen Colligan, 55, at 10:00 AM on Thursday August 2, 2018 in the Duhon Funeral Home-Church Point Chapel with Deacon Dwayne Boudreaux officiating. Visitation will begin in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM, with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:30 PM and will resume on Thursday at 8:00 AM until just prior to the service time. Interment will follow the chapel service and will be in St. John Mission Chapel Cemetery in Lewisburg, LA. Mr. Colligan passed away on July 28, 2018 at his home in Richard, LA.
Mr. Colligan is survived by his daughter, Kasey Schell and son-in-law, Justin Schell of Villa Rica, GA; mother, Theresa L. Colligan of Church Point, LA; brothers, Sylvester Colligan and his wife, Kathy of Lawtell, LA, Daniel Colligan, Sr. of Richard, LA, Dennis Colligan of Opelousas, LA; sisters, JoAnn Parker of Crowley, LA and Cendonia Prejean and her husband, Harry of Rayne, LA; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Colligan; maternal grandparents, Antoine Lanclos and Angelle Quebedeaux Lanclos and his paternal grandparents, Sylvester Colligan and Emmelina Richard Colligan.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Colligan, Daniel Colligan, Daniel Colligan, Jr., Sylvester Colligan, Derrick Jerome Colligan and James Colligan.
