Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for Joshua B. “Joshy” Meaux, Jr., 9, who passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 7:28 A.M. at Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Lafayette.
Pastor Berl Adams, Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in Abshire Cemetery in Rural Kaplan.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. Visitation will resume on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include his father and step mother, Joshua, Sr. and Angel Meaux of Breaux Bridge; his mother and step father, Victoria and Lance Rochon of Scott; two brothers, Haiden Meaux of Breaux Bridge, Landon Rochon of Scott; one sister, Skye Rochon of Scott; his paternal grandparents, Melvin and Barbara Meaux and of Rayne and Kim and Ernie Moreaux of New Iberia; his paternal great-grandmother, Mary and James Foster of Scott; his maternal grandmother, Phyllis Dupre of Carencro; one uncle and Godfather, Ryan Meaux of Rayne; one aunt and Godmother, Jessica LeBlanc of Lafayette.
Joshy is preceded in death by his paternal great-grandfather, Mervine Meaux.
