Obituary for Shawn Matthew Abshire
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Shawn M. Abshire, 40, who passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 6:30 A.M. at Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette.
Pastor Berl Adams, Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include his mother, Jo Ann M. Abshire of Crowley; one brother, Huey and wife, Elva Abshire of Rayne; one sister, Candice Shive of Kaplan; paternal grandmother, Bernice Abshire of Crowley; several nieces and nephews.
Shawn was preceded in death by his father, Newman Abshire, Sr.; his paternal grandfather, Hilton P. Abshire; his maternal grandparents, L.J. and Jean Vincent; several nephews.
