Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, at the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel of Church Point for Jane Chapman Chiasson, 85, who died at 11:17 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2021 in Many, LA.
Deacon Byrne Winn will celebrate the funeral services. The burial will follow in the Saint Edward Cemetery in Richard, LA. Visitation may be observed Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. Chiasson was born February 3, 1936 in Ville Platte, LA to Albert and Bertha Cataire Chapman.
She is survived by her daughter Bonita “Bonnie” Deshotel Thibodeaux and her husband Wilson of Church Point; 3 sons, Randy Deshotel and his wife, Debra of Stephenville, LA, Edward and Danny Terry of Many and a stepson Gilbert Chiasson and his wife, Toni; 11 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and two sisters-in-law, Sandra B. Deshotel and Phyllis F. Deshotel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry Chiasson; 2 sons, Carole Deshotel and Harold Deshotel; 2 brothers, Stacy Chapman and Albert Chapman, Jr.; one sister, Rose Chiasson; stepdaughter, Julie Chiasson Guidry and a granddaughter Shantel Deshotel.
