Obituary for
Peggy Istre (Laviolet)
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Peggy Istre, 63, who passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 4:10 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette.
Fr. Samuel Fontana, Associate Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Church New Cemetery in Rayne.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 10:00 a. m. until 10:00 p.m. at the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 6 in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Monday at 8:00 a.m. until time of the services.
Survivors include her husband of forty five years, Adam Istre of Rayne; four daughters, Shana and husband, Steven Richard of Mire, Shelley and husband, Mitch Batten of Rayne, Stacie and husband, Andrew Landry of Lafayette and Shae Istre of Rayne; her father, Claby Laviolet of Lacassine; one step sister, Marie Aucoin of Lafayette and nine grandchildren, Tyler Istre, Heather Mire, Robyn Batten, Karla Richard, Hannah Landry, Lindsey Batten, Ethan Batten, Abigail Landry and Henry Landry.
Mrs. Peggy was preceded in death by her mom, Thelma S. Laviolet and one brother, Jay Laviolet.
