Obituary for
Dalton Joseph ""Black"" Menard
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Dalton “Black” Menard, 75, who passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 8:03 P.M. at Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette.
Pastor Lenford Whitaker, Jr., Pastor of the Pentecostals of Crowley will be officiating for the service. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. Visitation will resume on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services all in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Marlene B. Menard of Crowley; one son, Mark and wife, Katie Menard of Crowley; three grandchildren, Ariel, Cole and Riley Menard all of Crowley; two sisters, Dorothy Sarver of Crowley and Gloria Simon of Roberts Cove; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers for the services will be Mark Menard, Ronnie Menard, Wilson Istre, Timmy Menard, Milton Habtez, Jr., and Floyd Saltzman. Honorary Pallbearer for the services will be Cole Joseph Menard.
Mr. Menard was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Clyde and Solonge Menard; three brothers, Preston, Wilbert and Joseph Menard; three sisters, Alma Istre, Leona Bourgeois, Shirley Deshotel.
