Brenda Wheaton (Elkins)
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the First United Pentecostal Church of Church Point for Brenda E. Wheaton, 64, who passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2017 at 12:20 A.M. at Opelousas General Hospital in Opelousas.
Pastor Rick Pavlu, Pastor of the First United Pentecostal Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Cemetery in Church Point.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 9:00 A.M. until time of services at the First United Pentecostal Church of Church Point.
Survivors include two daughters, Amanda Soileau of Church Point, Crystal and husband, James Smith of Opelousas; one son, Jonathan and wife, Lydia Miller of Opelousas; two sisters, Bessie Latiolais of Opelousas and Annette Gilley of Opelousas; twelve grandchildren, Chelsea and husband, Caleb Castille, Christian Miller, Xander Miller, Carmen Raye Soileau, Kali Carriere, Ashley Carriere, Gabrielle Carriere, Gavin Carriere, Addison Carriere, Kagle Smith, Cooper Smith and Audry Smith; her first great-grandson on the way, Abram Castille.
Ms. Wheaton was preceded in death by her parents, Berton Elkins and Beverley Thibodeaux.
