Crowley- Funeral Services will be held for Linus Bellard, on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home, LLC Chapel in Crowley with Chaplain Mark Broussard officiating. Visitation will begin on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. with the Recitation of a Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM . Visitation will resume on Saturday at 8:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the chapel service and will be in St. Edmund Catholic Cemetery in Branch, LA. Mr. Bellard passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 3:25 P.M. surrounded by his loving family at his home in Roberts Cove.
Mr. Bellard is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Peggy Vidrine of Roberts Cove, LA; children, Anthony Bellard of Crowley, LA, Gregory and his wife, Inger of Lyons Point, LA, Christopher Bellard of Crowley, LA, Susan Ohlenforst and her husband, Tommy of Roberts Cove, LA; one sister, Jean Bearb of Rayne; one brother, James Bellard of Crowley; grandchildren, Anthony Bellard, II and his wife, Amanda of Crowley, LA, Andrew Bellard of Lafayette, LA, Matthew Bellard of Crowley, Joseph Bellard of Lyons Point, LA, Amanda Bellard of Lyons Point, LA, Victoria Bellard of Rayne, LA, Katlyn Bellard of Crowley, LA, Thomas “T J “ Ohlenforst, II, Jacob Ohlenforst and William Ohlenforst of Roberts Cove, granddaughter-in-law, Veronica Bellard of San Antonio, TX, many great grandchildren and his pet dog, Sassy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Bellard and Alice LeJeune Bellard; mother in law and father in law, Henry Vidrine and Alia Vidrine and one grandson, SSGT. Nicholas Bellard.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Bellard, Gregory Bellard, Christopher Bellard, Thomas Ohlenforst, Andrew Bellard and Joseph Bellard.
