Joseph Lloyd ""Mr. Joe / Butty"" Pierre-August
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 1:30 P.M. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau, La. for Joseph “Mr. Joe / Butty” Pierre-August, 68, who passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 6:20 P.M. at his home in Church Point.
Fr. Clyde LeBlanc, Pastor of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church Cemetery in Grand Coteau, LA.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited on Saturday at 10 o’clock in the morning in the Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point.
Survivors include his wife, Debra R. Pierre-August of Church Point; one daughter, Tequila Richard of Church Point; two sons, Spencer Richard and companion, Nikki Young of Church Point and Joseph Lorenzo Richard of Church Point; five sisters, Verna Marie and husband, Paul Malbroue, Sr. of Houston, TX., Jeanette Pierre-August and fiancé, Ronald Thomas of Sunset, Paula and husband, Wayne Gibson of Sunset, Paulette Morris of Carencro, and Annette Syas of Atlanta, GA.; two brothers, Claude Dale and wife, Maudry Pierre-August of Opelousas, Paul and wife, Lori Pierre August of Opelousas; one brother-in-law, Ronald James Robert of Opelousas; a special friend, Edgar Miller of Cankton; his God Children, Paul Pierre August, Greg Dixon, and Tyrone Melancon; eight grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
Mr. Pierre-August was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lou Pearl D. Pierre-August; two sisters, Ella Lois Robert and Yvette Pierre-August; one niece, Leah Pierre-August.
