Crowley- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Norris j. Cormier, 85, at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Lyons Point, LA with Rev. Clint Trahan officiating. Visitation will begin on Thursday, January 4, 2018 in the Duhon Funeral Home-Crowley Chapel at 10:00 AM, with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 11:00 AM and will continue until just prior to the time of service. Interment will follow the church service and will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Lyons Point, LA. Mr. Cormier passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018.
Mr. Cormier is survived by his children, Jerome Cormier and his wife, Barbara of Lyons Point, LA, Stephanie Cormier of Morse, LA and Debra Cormier of Lafayette, LA; grandchildren, Bradley Cormier and his wife, Brandie of Lyons Point, LA, Danielle Richard of Morse, LA, MaRanda Trahan and her husband, Rush of Lyons Point, LA, Nicole Hebert of Houma, LA; thirteen great-grandchildren and six great –great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence J. Cormier and Ethel Pierce Cormier; daughter, Roxy Cormier; grandson, Clarence Dewitt Boudreaux and one brother, Matthew Cormier.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Cormier, Rhett Cormier, Bobby Harrington, Cullen Perrodin, Jed Abshire and Rod Benoit.
