Laura Guidry (Lavergne)
Scott- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Laura L. Guidry, 79, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott, LA with Rev. Mark Derise, Pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott, LA as Celebrant. Visitation will be held in the Duhon Funeral Home-Rayne Chapel on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM and will resume on Wednesday at 8:00 AM until just prior to the service time. Entombment will follow the church service and will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Mausoleum. Mrs. Guidry passed away on Sunday, January 28. 2018 at her home in Scott, LA.
Mrs. Guidry is survived by her children, Gene Guidry and his wife, Cheri of Baton Rouge, LA, David Guidry of Lafayette, LA, Lonnie Guidry and his wife, Becky of Lafayette, LA, Byron Guidry and his wife, Melissa of Scott, LA, Conrad Guidry and his wife, Angie of Scott, LA; grandchildren, Brandy Lopez, Amber Debetaz, Ryan Boudreaux, Valerie Palombo, Austin J. Guidry, Jacob Guidry, Eric Guidry, Chelsea Guidry, Dylan Stanford, Megan Guidry and Sarah Guidry; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Babineaux and Bernadine Estelette.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Guidry; daughter, Dianne Stanford; granddaughter, Aubrey Nicole Guidry; brothers, Freeman Lavergne, Aaron Lavergne, George Lavergne and Eugene Lavergne; parents, Saul and Aline Lavergne.
Pallbearers will be Conrad Guidry, Austin Guidry, Jacob Guidry, Dylan Stanford, J. P. Lopez and Dustin Lopez. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Guidry and Ryan Boudreaux.
