A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Debra Carriere Smith, 61, who passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 12:09 A.M. at her home in Church Point.
Fr. Michael Arnaud, Pastor of The Assumption Catholic Church in Mire will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church new cemetery in Church Point.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday at 7 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include her husband, Douglas Smith of Church Point; three daughters, Brandi and husband, Raymond Dohmann of Lewisburg, Kristi and husband, Brad Lavergne of Church Point, Ashley and husband, Joey Richard of Church Point; two sons, Ryan Smith of Church Point, Matt and wife, Lauren Smith of Richard; twelve grandchildren; one great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Shirley T. Carriere.
