Obituary for
Charles Camile Dugas
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Charles C. Dugas, 92, who passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at 10:45 P.M. in Eunice.
Msgr. Jeff DeBlanc, Pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart New Cemetery in Church Point.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 7 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. Visitation will resume on Thursday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include his companion, Elrine Belfour of Eunice; twelve nieces and nephews, Lou Higginbotham of Church Point; Della Higginbotham of Lafayette, Paula Carriere of Opelousas, Evelyn Thibodeaux of Breau Bridge, Catherina Gorman of Eunice, Tillman Thibodeaux of Napoleonville, Debra Webb of Labadieville, Blanche Kadair-Carr Houston, TX, Elizabeth Webb Labadieville, Lisa Morgan Kanas City, Missouri, Jennifer Thibodeaux of Phoenix, AZ, and Melanie Simon of Duson; several great nieces.
Mr. Dugas was preceded in death by his wife of forty nine years, Beverlee T. Dugas; his parents, George Ovide and Louise Hungerford Dugas; two brothers, Louis Dugas and Leo Paul Dugas; two nephews, Steven Thibodeaux and William Thibodeaux.
