Obituary for
Ella Mae Romain
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard for Ella Mae Lavergne Romain, 88, who passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at her home in Branch at 8:02 P.M.
Fr. Wayne Duet, Pastor of St. Edward Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the St. Edward Catholic Church Cemetery in Richard.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited Monday evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include one son, Clifton Romain, Jr. of Branch; three daughters, Wilma Jane Bowers of Richard, Loretta Cormier of Eunice and Patricia Paull of Eunice; one sister, Amyth Winn of Eunice; eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
Ms. Romain was preceded in death of her husband, Clifton Romain, Sr.; one sister, Joyce Miller; four brothers, Leo Lavergne, Newman Lavergne, Shelby Lavergne, and Irby Lavergne.
