Church Point- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Janet L. Vautrot, 59, at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard, LA with Rev. Wayne Duet as Celebrant. Visitation will be held in the Duhon Funeral Home-Church Point Chapel on Monday, July 23, 2018 beginning at 2:00 PM and will continue until 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday evening in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow the church service and will be in St. Edward Catholic Cemetery in Richard, LA. Mrs. Vautrot passed away at her residence in Opelousas on Saturday, July 21, 2018.
Mrs. Vautrot is survived by her husband, James K. Vautrot of Opelousas, LA; mother, Ethel Lejeune of Richard, LA; children, Brandy Davis and her husband, Heath of Prairieville, LA, Brandon Patin and companion, Shawna Daigle of Sunset, LA, Beau Patin and his wife, Lacey of New Iberia, LA, Brittany Thibodeaux and her husband, Chris of Cankton, LA; stepchildren, Shane Patin and his wife, Monica of Eunice, LA, Christine Garner and her husband, James of Houston, TX, Sylvia Vidrine and her husband, Christopher of Opelousas, LA, James D. Vautrot of Opelousas, LA, Tonya Thibodeaux and her husband, Shawn of Opelousas, LA; siblings, Judy Daigle and her husband, Leroy of Church Point, LA, Genevra Miller and her husband, Ricky of Richard, LA, David Lejeune and wife, Rachael of Richard, LA; sister-in-law, Betty Lejeune of Church Point, LA; grandchildren, Madison Patin, Breanna Patin, Aubrey Patin, Dawson Davis, Beau Patin, Jr., Carson Davis, Brayden Thibodeaux, Kennedi Doumit, Jocelyn Patin, Izabella Smith, Conner Thibodeaux, Caylee Thibodeaux and Abigail Thibodeaux; numerous step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by father, Joseph D. Lejeune, Jr.; first husband, Curley J. Patin, Jr.; son, Benjamin John Patin; step-son, Kevin Vautrot; granddaughter, Blair Alyse Davis and one brother, Raywood Lejeune.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Patin, David Lejeune, Sr., David Lejeune, Jr., Dawson Davis, Nick Daigle and Heath Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Beau Patin, Jr., Carson Davis, Brayden Thibodeaux and Conner Thibodeaux.
