Crowley- Funeral Services will be held for James A. Fontenot, Sr., 68, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in the Duhon Funeral Home-Crowley Chapel with Rev. Berl Adams officiating. Visitation will be held in the Duhon Funeral Home-Crowley Chapel on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 12:O0 PM until 10:00 PM and will resume on Wednesday at 8:00 AM until just prior to the time of service. Interment will be held at a later date. Mr. Fontenot passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, LA.
Jimmy was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. Who loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends and whom will be dearly missed by all whom knew and loved him.
Mr. Fontenot is survived by his children, Tiffany Guilbeau and her husband, Tony of Crowley, LA, James Fontenot, Jr. and his wife, Mandy of Crowley, LA and Amy Hoffpauir and her husband, Steven of Crowley, LA; grandchildren, Blaze Guilbeau and his fiancee’, Nikki, Kyle Guilbeau and his fiancée, Amber, Christian Fontenot and his fiancee’, Amber, Nicholas Fontenot, Logan Hoffpauir and Emily Hoffpauir; six great grandchildren and two brothers, Carl Hudman and Lester Veillon both of Texas.
He was preceded in death by parents, Amos and Mary Fontenot; step-parents, Duplasse Fontenot and Eula Fontenot; brother, Bobby Powell; three sisters, Mary Fontenot, Patsy Borris and Linda Gail Earhart.
