A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard for Ethel R. Lejeune, 83, who passed away very peacefully on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 2:20 P.M. at her home in Richard.
Fr. Austin Leger will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in St. Edward Catholic Church Cemetery in Richard.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 7 o’clock in the Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. Visitation will resume on Friday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy and Leroy Daigle, Jr. of Church Point, Genevra and Ricky Miller of Richard; one son, David, Sr. and wife, Rachael Lejeune of Richard; fourteen grandchildren, Sonia Dwyer, Wesley Lejeune, Justin Harris, Amy Melancon, Nicholas Daigle, Brandy Davis, Brandon Patin, Beau Patin, Brittany Thibodeaux, Jason Miller, Josh Miller, Christopher Prudhomme, David Lejeune, Jr. and Ashley Lejeune; thirty great-grandchildren; two Godchildren, Clara B. Matte and Huey Guidry.
Ms. Lejeune was preceded in death by one son, Raywood Lejeune; one daughter, Janet Patin Vautrot; one grandson, Benjamin Patin; one great-granddaughter, Blair Davis; her parents, Eulix and Maria B. Romain; two sisters, Eula Guidry and Verna Benoit; two brothers, Clifton Romain and Wilson Romain; the father of her children, Joseph Lejeune, Jr.; one son-in-law, Curley Patin, Jr.
