Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point for Earlin Carriere, 89, who passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 10:08 A.M. at his home in Church Point.
Deacon Byrne Winn will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held at a later day at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Cemetery in the Mausoleum in Church Point.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. until time of services all in the Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point.
Survivors include his wife of sixty nine years, Rita S. Carriere of Church Point; one son, Glenn “Bubba” and wife, Linda Carriere of Crowley; three daughters, Peggy and husband, Kim Henry of Church Point, Faye Carriere Guidry of Church Point and Kathy and husband, Leonard Launey of Iota; four sisters, Ursuline “Shoon” Venable of Avondale, Dorothy Carriere of Lafayette, Audrey Matte of Church Point and Mildred Bourque of Lawtell; one brother, Robert Dale Carriere of Avondale; four grandchildren, Kevin Carriere, Kaesha Carriere, Lacey Noel, and Brooke Guidry; one great-grandson, Reese Scott Carriere.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Lamm Health Care and Hospice of Crowley and his caretakers, Shirley Thomas, Carolyn Fontenot, Yolanda Woods Hager, Latara Woods and Lisa Chambers.
Mr. Carriere was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kellie Renee Carriere; his parents, Saul and Eva H. Carriere; two sisters, Eva Ortego, and Mary Daigle, two brothers, Joseph “Joe” Carriere and Herbert Carriere.
