Obituary for Norma Jane Smith (Duplechin)
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point for Norma Duplechin Smith, 70 who passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 2:35 A.M. at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley.
Pastor Berl Adams, Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Church Point will be officiating for the service. Burial will be in St. Anne Catholic Church Cemetery in Youngsville.
The family has requested visitation to be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 9:00 A.M. until time of services all in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
Survivors include three daughters, Melessia Romero of Many, Monique and husband, Joe Lillie of Prosper, TX, Melanie and husband, Joey Melton of Natchitoches; six grandchildren, Keisha, Kristin, Nathan, Alexa, Avis and Joseph, Jr. “J.J.”.
Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Ovey Smith, Jr.; her parents, Leroy and RosaMae Duplechin.
