Obituary for Wilbert John Prejean
Rayne- A Liturgy of the Word Service will be celebrated for Wilbert J. Prejean, 70, at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 20, 2019 in the Duhon Funeral Home-Rayne Chapel with Deacon Tim Ledet as Celebrant. Visitation will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM; with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM; and will resume on Sunday at 8:00 AM until 12:45 PM. Interment will follow the chapel service and will be in Arceneaux Cemetery in Rayne, LA. Mr. Prejean passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, LA.
Mr. Prejean is survived by his sisters, Verna Decou of Port Barre, LA, Leverdie Breaux of Rayne, LA; brothers, Edurss Lantia and his wife, Mary of Scott, LA, Harry Prejean and his wife, Tina of Rayne, LA; nieces, Melinda Hodge and her husband, David of Crowley, LA, Tina Menard and her husband, Lynn of Scott, LA, Donnafa Prejean of Rayne, LA, Joann Broussard of Crowley, LA, Virginia Tate of Opelousas, LA, Christine Broussard of Port Barre, LA; nephews, Michael Decou and his wife, Lorinda of Opelousas, LA, Rodney Decou and his wife, Angela of Iowa, LA, Blake Lantia and his wife, Darlene of Scott, LA
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ovey Prejean and Ella Seaux ; brother, Joseph Lantia and one nephew, Brett Breaux.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Decou, Michael Borrill and Melissa Andrepont.
