Rayne- A Liturgy of the Word Service will be celebrated for Patsy Ann Sovie, 68, at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 4, 2019 in the Duhon Funeral Home-Rayne Chapel with Deacon Denis LaCroix officiating. Visitation will be held in the Duhon Funeral Home-Rayne Chapel on Sunday, February 3, 2019 from 12:00 PM until 10:00 PM with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM and will resume on Monday at 8:00 AM until just prior to the service time. Interment will follow the chapel service and will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery “New” in Rayne, LA. Ms. Sovie passed away suddenly on Friday, February 1, 2019.
She is survived by her siblings, Michael Sovie and his wife, Anna of Houston, TX, Peggy Falcon of Rayne, LA, Betty Hebert and her husband, Earl of Maurice, LA, Ricky Sovie of Opelousas, LA and Vicky Blasingame of Duson, LA; nieces and nephews, Johann Sovie, Miranda Mire, Roxanne Falcon, Elizabeth Jackson, Lisa Mire, Jeremy Falcon, Reece Falcon, Linsey Meaux, Natalie Constantine, Christopher Sovie, Lauren Sovie, Andre’ Lafleur; numerous great nieces and great nephews as well as all of the “family pets” she was “Nan-nan” to.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Claiborne Sovie and Yola Faul Sovie; brother –in- law, Harold Falcon and one great nephew, Hudson Drew Falcon.
Pallbearers will be Michael Sovie, Ricky Sovie, Earl Hebert, Gary Mire, Jr., Jude Mire and Clayton Primeaux.
Ms. Sovie’s family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Roxanne Falcon and Elizabeth Jackson for their dedicated loving care provided to Patsy throughout the years.
