Obituary for Mary Bernella Cormier
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 5,2019, at 3:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point for Mary Bernella Cormier, 75, who passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 10:45 P.M. at Acadia St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point.
Deacon Byrne Winn will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the Arceneaux Cemetery in Rayne.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Tuesday at 9:00 A.M. until time of services all in the Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited at 2:30 that afternoon.
Survivors include her husband, Louis Phillip Lavergne of Church Point; three daughters, Cheryl Doucet and Alex Guzman of Michigan; Vanessa and husband, Pat Venable of Church Point; Phyllis and husband, Tony Venable of Mire; one sister, Earline Cormier Primeaux and husband, Ricky Primeaux of Mire; one brother, Irby and wife, Rosella Matte Cormier of Mire; seven grandchildren, Charmaine Doucet, Laura Doucet, Danika Spell, Misty Spell, Amber Camp, Cody Venable and Dylan Venable; twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Mrs. Cormier enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed her yard work, flowers, casino, fishing and a lot of time outdoors.
Mrs. Cormier was preceded in death by one grandson, Brandon Doucet; her parents, Clyde and Odelia Cormier; two sisters, Velma Benoit and Anna Bell Meche; two brothers, Ferroil Cormier and Earl Cormier.
