Obituary for Joyce Marie Tweedel (Joubert)
Church Point- A Liturgy of the Word Service will be celebrated for Joyce J. Tweedel, 85, at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 1, 2019 in the Duhon Funeral Home-Church Point Chapel with Deacon Jerry Wyble officiating. Visitation will begin in the funeral home chapel on Monday, April 1, 2019 at 9:00 AM until just prior to the service time. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow the chapel service and will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery in Lewisburg, LA. Mrs. Tweedel passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019 at her home in Church Point, LA.
Mrs. Tweedel is survived by her children, Karen Elaine Johnson and her husband, L. J. of Pine Prairie, LA, John Dale Tweedel and his wife, Mary Patricia of Breaux Bridge, LA, Leon Tweedel and his wife, Diane of Lawtell, LA, Vickie Tweedel and companion, Harris Fontenot of Church Point, LA, Randy Tweedel and his wife, Donna of Church Point, LA, Bruce Tweedel and his companion, Debra of Opelousas, LA; ten grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; brother, A.J. Joubert and his wife, Diane of Carencro, LA; sisters, Jerry Fontenot and her companion, Morris of Lafayette, LA, Georgianna Antie and her husband, Cecil of Port Barre, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Bobby Tweedel; parents, Adolph Joubert and Thelma Smith Joubert; sisters, Vernita Lassaigne, Ida Theriot, Anna Bell Dupre, Ruby Fontenot and Henrietta Speyrer. Pallbearers will be Blake Higginbotham, Garrett Higginbotham, Zachary Higginbotham, Wesley Higginbotham, Chad Carriere and Joseph LeBlanc, Jr.
