Obituary for Norman James "Poochie" Savoy Sr.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 12:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point for Norman “Poochie” Savoy, Sr., 68, who passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019 at 1:13 P.M. at Acadia St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point.
Pastor Berl Adams, Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held at a later day.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services all in the Funeral Home Chapel.
Survivors include two sons, Norman James Savoy, Jr. “Peanut” and wife, Rachael of Church Point, Mark Savoy and Keisha Jacobs of Church Point; his companion, Wanda “Ruth” Bias of Church Point; two sisters, Lora Savoy of Church Point and Albertia Citizen of Church Point; two brothers, Curley and Lionel Savoy both of Church Point; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Savoy, Kelsey Savoy, and Mark Savoy; step children, Michelle Citizen, Sherron Bias and Shaquana Minnix; six step grandchildren; three God children.
Mr. Savoy was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Ethel C. Savoy; three brothers, Charles, Herman and Lonnie Savoy.
