Obituary for Elsie Thibodeaux (Stutes)
Crowley- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Elsie Stutes Thibodeaux, 63, on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 in the Duhon Funeral Home-Crowley Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Aaron Melancon as Celebrant. Visitation will begin in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM and will resume on Wednesday at 8:00 AM until just prior to the service time. Interment will follow the chapel service and will be in Johnson-Hanks Cemetery in Morse, LA. Mrs. Thibodeaux passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019 at her home in Scott, LA.
Mrs. Thibodeaux is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Darrell J. Thibodeaux of Scott, LA; children, Robert Thibodeaux and his partner, Amy Gautreaux of Crowley, LA, Shawn Thibodeaux and his wife, Tonya of Sunset, LA; grandchildren, Alix Thibodeaux of Scott, LA, Hannah, Beaun , Rachel and Quinn Thibodeaux all of Jennings, LA and Sagan Simon of Crowley, LA; mother, Jeanette G. Stutes of Crowley, LA; sisters, Gerry Trahan and her husband, Bennett “Bear” Trahan of Kaplan, LA, Sue Stafford of Crowley, LA, and Sis Hebert of Morse, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen James Stutes and birth-mother, Dora Lee Hoffman Stutes; siblings, Mike Sensat, David Stutes, Elizabeth Hebert and Darrell Stutes.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Thibodeaux, Bennett Trahan, Marvin Thibodeaux, Barret Hargrave, Joe Badeaux and Scotty Sensat. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Thibodeaux, Shaun Viator and Wesley Hebert.
