Obituary for Alberta "Toot" Hayes
Crowley- Funeral Services will be held for Alberta “Toot” Hayes, 83, at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 in the Duhon Funeral Home-Crowley Chapel with Rev. Berl Adams officiating. Visitation will begin on Tuesday at 10:00 AM until just prior to the time of service. Interment will follow the chapel service and will be in Johnson Hanks Cemetery in Morse, LA. Ms. Hayes passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Southwind Nursing and Rehab Center in Crowley, LA.
Ms. Hayes owned and operated Hayes Grocery on Southern Eastern Ave. in Crowley, LA for over fifty years and is survived by her nephew, Willie Hayes, Jr. (Susan); nieces, Kathy Dailey, Laurie Ann Hayes (Lidya) and Donna H. Broussard (Gregory) as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Hayes and Biridie Hebert Hayes; brother, Willie John Hayes, Sr; sister in law, Myrtle Hayes; life partner, Willard "T-Neg" Doucet and great nephew Jeremy Hayes.
