Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home in Rayne for Hervin J. Leger, 82, who passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at 12:20 P.M. at The Ellington in Rayne.
Br. Gene Lee, Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Rayne will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in the St. Joseph Catholic Church New Cemetery in Rayne.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. Visitation will resume on Wednesday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Wanita Leger of Rayne; two daughters, Sandra and husband, Charlie Warren of Point, TX, Kelly and husband, Raymond Magar of Scott; four sons, Vernon and wife, Cyndi Leger, of Bostic, NC, Chris and wife, Laurie Leger of Rayne, Damon and wife, Kim Leger of Carencro, Justin Leger of Eunice; two sisters, Bonnie and husband, Robert Trahan of Duson, Rousella and husband, Curtis Landry of Groves, TX; eighteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Mr. Leger was preceded in death by one grandson, Dominic Leger; his parents, David and Noelie Brasseaux Leger; two brothers, Jimmy and Yves Leger.
