Obituary for Helen Daigle (Doiga)
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Helen D. Daigle, 85, who passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 11:21 A.M. at the Acadia St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point.
Msgr. Jeff DeBlanc, Pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in Our Lady of Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Cemetery in Church Point.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P. M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, at 7 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. Visitation will resume on Friday, at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include five sons, Edgar Daigle and special friend, Glenda Stelly of Church Point, Ralph and wife, Linda Daigle of Ville Platte, Gary Daigle of Church Point, Earl and wife, Jill Daigle of Richard, and Jonathan and wife, Kim Daigle of Church Point; five daughters, Jo Ann and husband, Bobby Lanclos of Leonville, Leota and husband, Ricky Guillot of Church Point, Cheryl and husband, Pat Romero of Lafayette, Charlene and husband, Todd Latiolais of Sunset and Jessica and husband, Eddie Breaux of Church Point; one brother, Aaron and wife, Linda Doiga of Walker; two sisters, Connie and husband, Larry Francis of Gonzales, Jane LeJeune of Lawtell; twenty grandchildren, thirty two great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Ms. Daigle was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, John Daigle; one granddaughter, Summer Monique Bergeron; three sisters, Lou Roy, Bernita “Neno” Miller Chustz, Ruth Thibodeaux; three brothers, Tom, Ray and Harry Doiga;
