Angelena Jean-Louis Carmouche was born on August 17, 1925 to Henry and Roberta Jean-Louis in Youngsville, LA. Angelena was one daughter of seven children. In 1946 Angelena was joined in holy matrimony to Claby Francis Carmouche at The Shrine of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Rayne, LA where she remained a devoted member until her passing.
She honored her commitment caring for her disabled husband until his death in 1977, after which time she enjoyed visiting her children in California, Texas, Oregon, Tennessee, Georgia, and Kentucky. Her most adventurous side took her to Montego Bay, Jamaica in 2005, where she celebrated her 80th birthday. She was a talented and dedicated homemaker and an exceptional cook. Among her many dishes, were her blissful sweet dough coconut, lemon meringue, and sweet potato pies. Angelena loved gardening, sewing, fishing/crabbing, traveling and caring for her many pets.
Angelena lived out her later years with her loving son, Ralph (Harriet), in Memphis, TN and passed away on Thursday, June, 27, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Memphis, TN.

Carmouche, Ralph E. Carmouche (Harriet) and Cheryl M. Carmouche; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
