Obituary for Jeanette Richard
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Jeanette T. Richard, 63, who passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 11:34 A.M. at her home in Church Point.
Père Rozas of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Cemetery in the Mausoleum.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 9:30 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited on Friday at 7 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Saturday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include her husband, of forty seven years, Bobby Richard of Church Point; five sons, Ronnie and wife, Angel Richard of Church Point, Brian Richard of Lafayette, Patrick and wife, Rockki Richard of Lafayette, Troy Richard of Lafayette and, Tommy “Flap” Richard of Church Point; one daughter, Janet and husband, Chris “Brother-in-law” Bellard of Church Point; one sister, Judy Boudreaux of Lafayette; one brother, Joseph Andrus “Football” and wife, Debra Trahan of Cankton; special sister-in-law, Bonnie Richard of Church Point;seventeen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; her furry child, Maggie; one furry grandson, Peanut.
Mrs. Richard was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Nora M. Trahan; one brother-in-law, Chip Boudreaux; one special uncle, Clarence “Coconut” Belaire.
Pallbearers for the service will be Ronnie, Brian, Patrick, Troy, Tommy and Chris. Her grandchildren will serve as honorary Pallbearers.
