Obituary for Dianne Richard (Broussard)
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point for Dianne B. Richard, 63, who passed away at her home in Church Point on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 3:38 P.M.
Deacon Byrne Winn will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Cemetery in Church Point.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited on Friday at 7 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Saturday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include her husband, forty four years, Bobby G. Richard of Church Point; one daughter, Katie and husband, Kurt Rodriguez of Scott; four sisters, Lisa Broussard of Duson, Cheryl Dejean of Broussard, Theresa Rogers of Rayne and Geraldine Ardoin of Rayne; one half sister, Priscilla Menard of Scott; two brothers, Allen Broussard of Scott and Wallace Broussard, Jr. of Lafayette; two grandsons, Logan and Landon Rodriguez of Scott; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Richard was preceded in death by an infant son; her parents, Wallace J. Broussard, Sr. and Lula Breaux Broussard; three brothers, Gerald, Billy and Patrick Broussard; and several aunts and uncles.
Dianne loved bingo, casino, watching law and order, playing cards, spending time with her grandbabies, cooking and baking. She also enjoyed playing face book games and bowling.
Pallbearers for the service will be Logan Rodriguez, Landon Rodriguez, Kurt Rodriguez, Dustin Cormier, Adam Rogers, Bobby Richard, Karl Sellers and Raywood Dejean, Jr.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to help with funeral and medical expenses.
