Obituary for Herbert Ardoin Jr.
Prairie Ronde- Funeral Services will be held for Herbert Ardoin, Jr., 75, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 12, 2019 in the Duhon Funeral Home-Church Point Chapel with Pastor Steven Bowen, Pastor of Foundation Church of Lafayette, LA officiating. Visitation will begin in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, October11, 2019 at 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM and will resume on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 8:00 AM until just prior to the service time. Interment will follow the chapel service and will be in Verret Cemetery in Swords, LA. Mr. Ardoin passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2019.
Mr. Ardoin is survived by his children, Alphe Ardoin and his wife, Phyllis of Scott, LA, Phillip Ardoin of Carencro, LA, Paula Guidry and her husband, George of Duson, LA, Robert Ardoin, Sr. and his wife, Charlotte of Lawtell, LA, Shane Ardoin and his wife, Tonia of Scott, LA, Jules Ardoin and his wife, Desire’ of Indian Bayou, LA, Shaun Ardoin of Prairie Ronde, LA, Mary Ardoin of Scott, LA; grandchildren, Samantha Ardoin, Ashley Navarre, Desiree Gammill, Dylan Ardoin, Robert Ardoin, Jr., Taylor Ardoin, Tyler Ardoin, Bailey Ardoin, Kamerin Ardoin, Gabrielle Ardoin, Kollin Ardoin, Seth Thibodeaux, Andrew Thibodeaux, Kaitlyn Ardoin, Noah Ardoin and Aidan Ardoin; five great grandchildren; sisters, Lucy Moreau, Eloise Gauthier and Iona Venable; as well as his companion of 26 years, Phyllis Castille of St. Martinville, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Ardoin, Sr. and Bernadette Brown Ardoin; sisters, Doris Ware, Maris Broussard; brother, ,Joseph Ardoin and the mother of his children, Annie Theriot.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Ardoin, Jules Ardoin, Robert Ardoin, Sr., Shaun Ardoin, Shane Ardoin and George Guidry. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Ardoin, Bailey Ardoin, Kamerin Ardoin, Kollin Ardoin, Dylan Ardoin, Noah Ardoin and Aidan Ardoin. The Ardoin family would like to give special thanks to his two kidney doctors who have helped him through many years, Dr. Lou and Dr. Higginbotham.
